15 children in Nigeria rescued from traffickers

Police in the Rivers State (located near the Niger delta) they freed 15 children abducted for trafficking.  The children were found with a 44-year-old woman, Maureen Wechinwu, falsely claiming to be a Roman Catholic religious sister.

The Department of Justice has removed content from its webpage on child trafficking that highlighted the plight of international trafficking of minors.  

“What I have seen” – trafficking in girl-children

“During missions to West Africa and Asia, I have seen girl-children being trafficked and met some of them in refuges,” Paul Bravender-Coyle, Secretary of the Anti-Slavery Society stated today.  “I also met police undercover agents”.  “It is not a QAnon myth,” he added.
